These are humble materials, gathered and set by hand. They are not diamonds, and they will not behave like diamonds. Treat them gently and they will age the way honest things age, which is to say, beautifully.

A few small kindnesses go a long way. Take your piece off before the sea, the shower, and sleep. Wipe it now and then with a soft, dry cloth. Keep it away from perfume and lotion.

If the silver darkens, do not panic. That is just the metal breathing. A gentle rub with a cloth brings it back, and a little shadow left in the low places is, to my eye, part of the charm.

It means the piece is living its second life with you. Nothing here is meant to stay frozen and perfect. It is meant to be worn, and kept, and quietly loved.
